2014 Grey Palm Estate Petite Sirah
When our Grey Palm Estate vineyard was planted in 2000, it was primarily destined to be a Zinfandel wine source. Following the traditional Italian method so common in our region, a small block (only 1.1 acres), was planted to Petite Sirah.
This was most often done in Italian field blends to provide a blending grape to add texture and color to the Zinfandel wines.
Instead of blending these blocks together, we decided to make a small production batch of Petite Sirah, and we are so happy we did!
Tasting Notes
Our 2014 Estate Petite Sirah offers a plush, creamy texture. Fragrant lavender, eucalyptus and blueberry greet you. Hints of pipe tobacco underscore primary flavors of blueberries and vanilla.
