2013 Petite Sirah Grey Palm Estate
When our Grey Palm Estate vineyard was planted in 2000, it was primarily destined to be a Zinfandel wine source but, in the traditional Italian method so common in our region, a small block, only 1.1 acres, was planted in Petite Sirah. This was most often done to provide a blending grape to add texture and color to the Zinfandel wines. We at Cast Estate decided instead to make a small production batch of Petite Sirah, and we are so happy we did!

Dry Creek Valley
Tasting notes for the 2013 include a touch of violet on the nose giving way to black currant with a hint of licorice. Blackberries and plums on the palette with just a touch of dark chocolate. This wine is well integrated, has nice acidity and good structure.
Enjoy for 3-20 years.
